Jamshedpur, June 7: East Singhbhum district Congress committee vice president Baiju Mukhi has complained to party high-ups against alleged neglect of Dalits by state leaders.

In a memorandum handed to party national president Rahul Gandhi, Mukhi said, Many old and experienced leaders of the party are being neglected in the party. Dalit leaders are the most neglected lot. This has caused much damage to the party in the recent Lok Sabha elections. Unfortunately, outsiders are being given importance and posts in the organization.

Mukhi said the Congress party leaders claim to be working in the larger interest of Dalits, but hardly does anything for the welfare of backward people. He said he had been serving the party for the last 40 years. He said he was made Youth Congress president of Jamshedpur on the recommendation of former PM Rajiv Gandhi. He said the party should give him ticket to contest Assembly elections from Jugsalai constituency.
