Jamshedpur: A portion of the roof at the Medicine block of the hospital State run MGM Hospital fell down during the early hours of Friday. As the portion of the ceiling fell, the security staff ran for safety cover. Later they discovered that concretes fell all over the ACs (air conditioners) installed at the block.
The hospital official, however, claimed that he had already approached the Department of Health and Family Welfare’s Engineering wing for repairing and proper maintenance of all the buildings, but it seems the latter has made no impact on the officials of the department otherwise they would have started the repairing works of the buildings concerned.
Notably, the two such incidents of roof collapse had taken place at the MMG Medical college and hospital earlier in October last. In one of the incident taken place near the blood bank block left a worker injured
