CM opens Suryakunda Mela, lays foundation stone of 24 services

Ranchi, Jan. 15: Laying online foundation stone of 24 services worth Rs. 58.07 crore and inaugurating Suryakunda Mela at Barkattha, Hazaribag, Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Thursday directed the district administration to develop park, hot water swimming pool and facilities of canteen and cottage at Suryakunda Mela.

Addressing the people, the CM said that Makar Sankranti is the festival of social harmony. He said that previously, the state�s economy was based on mining whereas the present government is focusing on agriculture also. Hence the government is presenting agriculture budget separately. He said that the govt. is committed for rational development of IT, industry, agriculture and tourism. The government has prepared Fasal Beema Yojana for Bagbani also, he informed.

The CM said that Ranchi will be developed as an information hub. A total of 200 acres of land has been identified at HEC so that industrial companies should not face any problem in obtaining land.

He said that the govt. is committed for welfare. So the budget is being made according to the needs of the people. He summoned the people to keep their village and surrounding neat and clean. He said that the state govt. is trying to give maximum benefit of central schemes like Atal Pension Yojana and Jandhan Yojana to people.

The CM said that the govt. has set deadline for execution of schemes. Works are being prioritized as per necessity.

The govt. is focusing on health, education, electricity, water resource etc. he said that DCs and DDCs will visit five panchayats and make plans for them. Within two years, all widows will be connected with pension.

Speaking on the occasion, state tourism minister Amar Kumar Bauri said that Suryakunda can be developed as a tourist spot. He said that the government has released film policy. Fairs and festivals will be conducted for developing Babadham, Itkhori, Maluti and Parshwanath as tourist spot.

Hazaribag MLA Manish Jaiswal, Barhi MLA Manoj Kr. Yadav, Bagodar MLA Nagendra Mahto and other dignitaries were present at this occasion.
