Jamshedpur, Oct 01: The Govindpur Station Nirman Samiti today organized a condolence meeting to pay homage to late social activist and Gandhian Shaldev Shah who passed away recently. People from allwalks of life attended the meeting. They said that Shaldev Shah was a social thinker who lived by Gandhian principles and played a leading role for the rights and uplift of Dalits, Adivasis, backward and minority communities. He played a leading role in establishing the Govindpur Halt Railway Station. Floral tributes were paid before a photograph of the late social activist. Among those who participated in the condolence meeting were Jaikant Singh, Amar Kumar Singh, Sanjay Snehi, Mrityunjay Mahto, Shrawan Kumar Bhagat, JP Bhagat, Haldhar Das, Ajay Kumar Gupta, Manoj Patro, Satbir Singh Bagga and others. The programme was conducted by social worker Ramesh Narayan Agnihotri.
