‘Chetna March’ held in Jugsalai; spreads message of sacrifice of Martyred Sahibzadas

Jamshedpur: As part of the Shaheedi Week, Chetna March (an awareness march) was organized in Jugsalai on Thursday, spreading the message of sacrifice, martyrdom, and bravery across the area. The march was held in remembrance of the unparalleled martyrdom of the four Sahibzadas of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Mata Gujri Ji, and other immortal martyrs.

The march commenced at 6 am from Gurdwara Sahib, Station Road, Jugsalai, with a large number of devotees participating with traditional discipline and religious fervour. From the Station Road Gurdwara, the procession passed through Gurdwara Sahib Gauri Shankar Road, Chowk Bazaar, and Ghoda Chowk, before concluding at the Station Road Gurdwara Sahib.

Throughout the route, devotees paid homage to the martyred Sahibzadas and reaffirmed their commitment to the ideals of truth, courage, unity, and the protection of righteousness. The atmosphere remained peaceful, disciplined, and filled with reverence, reflecting the spiritual essence of Shaheedi Week.

On the occasion, Central Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (CGPC) President Bhagwan Singh and Chairman Sardar Shailendra Singh, along with Senior Vice President Narendra Pal Singh, stated that the primary objective of the Awareness March was to connect the younger generation with the extraordinary courage and supreme sacrifice of the Sahibzadas. CGPC Chairman Hardeep Singh Bhatia and General Secretary Kamaljeet Singh emphasized that Shaheedi Week is not merely an occasion of remembrance but a source of inspiration to walk the path of truth and justice in everyday life.

Several prominent members and office-bearers were present, including CGPC advisors Sukhdev Singh Bittu and Jaswant Singh Jasu, Jugsalai Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee President Mahendra Pal Singh, Rajendra Pal Singh, Balbir Singh, Ravindra Singh, Ninder Singh, Paramjit Singh, Raghuveer Singh, Harjeet Singh Tippu, Hardeep Singh Chaniya, Amritpal Singh Maharaja, Ranjit Singh, Sewadal Pradhan Amritpal Singh Chinu, and a large number of members from the Stree Satsang Sabha.

As part of Shaheedi Week, daily Gurmat Samagams are being organized at Gurdwara Sahib, Station Road, Jugsalai, from December 20 to December 27, 2025. On Thursday as well, the congregation was addressed through Gurbani Kirtan and Gurmat Vichar, drawing inspiration from the lives of the martyrs. The programme concluded with the collective recitation of Japji Sahib.

The Awareness March further strengthened the message of religious awareness and social unity in the Jugsalai area. Devotees paid heartfelt tributes to the martyred Sahibzadas and pledged active participation in the remaining events of Shaheedi Week.
