Jamshedpur, Jan 11: Chef Priya Gupta, a renowned culinary expert and director of Priya Cookery Classes in Jamshedpur, has added a significant milestone to her illustrious career by earning a Doctorate degree.
The honour was conferred upon her on January 11 at a grand ceremony held at Hotel Surya in Delhi, attended by international deans, professors, politicians, doctors, and dignitaries from prestigious universities worldwide. Chef Priya received her doctorate from the United States Culinary Academy (USCA) for her research on ‘Culinary and Pastry in Organic Food.’
Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Chef Priya completed her thesis independently, showcasing her dedication and passion for the culinary arts. She has been running her cookery classes for over 20 years, inspiring individuals in India and abroad to pursue professional culinary careers.
Chef Priya’s institute is recognized by the Central Government, allowing students to obtain government-approved degrees. She also practices in international colleges, enhancing her global reach and reputation.
Expressing her gratitude, Chef Priya credited her success to her husband, Shankar Kumar, and the inspiring women in her family. She stated that this achievement would enable her to provide advanced knowledge to her students and contribute to the culinary field by teaching at a broader level.
“This doctorate is not just a personal achievement but a proud moment for my family and society,” Chef Priya stated.
