Champai lays foundation of projects worth Rs 18.50 crore

Seraikela, August 18: State transport and adivasi welfare minister, Champai Soren today laid foundation of six different projects worth Rs 18.50 crore at Rajnagar block in Seraikela.

Addressing the gathering Champai said that he is for the development of the region this is the reason several projects pertaining to bridges, hospital and ponds relating to job creation are being inaugurated so that people of the region can benefit and get work along with farming.

At the Gegeruli panchayat the welfare department laid foundation for 50 bed hospital and GNM training centre and scholraship schemes worth Rs 7.20 crore, Pond with microlift facility worth Rs 1.50 crore at TTD panchayat, bridge over Bobanga River worth rs 2.65 crore, bridge at Bhaluvasa Tulsidih worth Rs 2.22 crore, bridge also between Chotadih and Odissa worth Rs 2.65 crore and Rs 2.15 crore bridge at Jotand.

Champai further said that after the hospital is built people of the region would not have to move towards Jamshedpur or Chaibasa for medical treatment.

He also announced for making Kunabeda a different block. Minister informed that farmers will get microlift procedure of getting water and will not have to depend on rain gods.

On the ocassion Zila Parishad member Kapra Hansda, block development officer Suman Murmu, Dharma Murmu, Vakil Soren, Hiralal Satpathi, Nibu Pradhan and others were present.
