Centre ignored Jharkhands demands: Banna Gupta on Union Budget

Mail News Service

Jamshedpur, Feb 1: Commenting on the Union Budget 2020, state health minister Banna Gupta said the Finance Minister had ignored poverty, inflation and unemployment in the budget. He said the Centre had only sought to favour capitalists in this years budget. The budget has nothing to offer to the poor people, farmers, workers, unemployed people and youths, he said.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren had demanded a tribal university for Jharkhand. But the Centre has proposed to open a tribal museum in the state. This is cheating with the people of Jharkhand. It seems the government only wants to favour the capitalists and industrialists. Middle class has been given only little relief in the budget, said Gupta.
