Jamshedpur, Aug 27: Sports department of Tata Steel organised various sporting activities to mark 160th birth anniversary of Sir Dorabji Tata on Tuesday.
These included Inter Divisional Water Polo Championship for women employees, Inter School Swimming Championship, Inter Centre Boxing Championship, Community Sports Athletics Events, Yoga competition, Intra Centre Badminton Competition and Inter School Karate Championship. Each of the activities witnessed large scale participation. In inter centre badminton competition Anushka Tyagi was the winner in girls Under-11 category. In boys under-11 Anket Kumar was the winner. Balram Kumar won in boys under-19 category. In girls under-17 Praya Julani bagged the first prize. Carmel Junior College bagged the over championship in both girls and boys category in the inter school swimming championship.
