Jamshedpur, April 10: In a road accident under the MGM police station area, a speeding car overturned near Belajuri Kali Mandir on NH-33 after the driver attempted to avoid a stray animal. The incident left two occupants—a man and a woman—injured.
According to available information, the vehicle, bearing a West Bengal registration, was travelling from Ghatshila towards Jamshedpur at around 11 a.m. when a cow suddenly appeared on the road. In an effort to prevent a collision, the driver lost control, causing the car to overturn multiple times before landing by the roadside.
Passersby promptly alerted the local police, who arrived at the scene without delay. With the assistance of an ambulance stationed on the highway, the injured individuals were safely extricated from the mangled vehicle and rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The identities of the victims are yet to be confirmed and are expected to be established once they regain consciousness.
