BJP’s Purnima Sahu to file nomination for Jamshedpur East on October 24

Jamshedpur, Oct 22: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is gearing up for a massive show of strength on October 24, as Purnima Sahu, the party’s candidate for the Jamshedpur East Assembly constituency, prepares to file her nomination papers. Thousands of BJP workers from various mandals of the constituency will gather for a grand procession to the Deputy Commissioner’s office at 10 a.m., where Sahu will formally submit her nomination.

The day will begin with Sahu performing prayers at the Sheetla Mata Temple in Bhalubasa before heading to the Deputy Commissioner’s office. Party workers from Sitaramdera and Baridih will assemble at Bhalubasa Harijan School ground, while others from Telco, Birsanagar, Golmuri, and Sakchi will converge at Netaji Subhash Maidan in Aambagan. From there, a large procession will escort Sahu to the office in a display of unity and strength.

BJP Jamshedpur Mahanagar President, Sudhanshu Ojha, stressed the importance of the nomination event in a strategy meeting held earlier this week. “This is not just a nomination but a commitment to the future of Jamshedpur East,” said Ojha. “We are determined to make this a historic event that will echo throughout the region. Every worker must ensure our presence is felt, not only during the nomination but throughout the election.”

Purnima Sahu, addressing the gathering, sharply criticized the current JMM-Congress government for its failure to deliver on key promises. “Jamshedpur, once known for its industrial and educational development, is now plagued with poor infrastructure, failing roads, and inadequate healthcare. The JMM-Congress alliance has done nothing but make empty promises,” she stated.

She emphasized that under BJP leadership, the region witnessed substantial development. “When the BJP was in power, we focused on real issues—improving roads, schools, and creating jobs. This election is about restoring progress,” Sahu remarked.

The nomination event aims to kickstart a strong election campaign, with leaders emphasizing grassroots mobilization to ensure BJP’s victory in the upcoming elections.
