Jamshedpur, Jan 5: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has called for a huge mass march in support of the Citizenship Amendment Act � 2019 (CAA) and this has received the support of BJP. BJP district president Dinesh Kumar announced this decision at a meeting of all BJP district office bearers, Mandal and Morcha presidents at the new Mahanagar office premises. He gave instructions to all present to participate in the march in full strength.
Dinesh observed at the meeting that the Congress, JMM and other opposition allies were spreading false and misleading information about the CAA. He said, �The opposition alliance is spreading false contentions to create fear and panic among the members of the Muslim community. They are trying to shake the Modi government by creating an environment of fear and violence. The Bharatiya Janata Party wants to make it clear that this new law is aimed at providing citizenship to immigrants who have come to the country being persecuted in other countries on communal grounds. The Muslim community in India has nothing to fear and their citizenship will not be affected.�
The BJP district president distributed diaries and calendars on the occasion of the international New Year and thanked all party members for their support in 2019 and sought the same cooperation during the current and forthcoming years. He also urged the office bearers to verify all membership forms so that the final list could be forwarded to the party�s state office on time.
Those present at the meeting were Muchiram Bauri, Anil Modi, Ankit Anand, Dipak Parikh, Amarjit Singh Raja, Pankaj Sinha, Prakash Joshi, Sandip Sharma �Bobby�, Bhupendra Singh, Chittaranjan Verma, Bari Murmu, Sandip Mishra, Satyaprakash Singh, Chandrashekhar Gupta, Rakesh Singh and others.
