Jamshedpur BJP leaders stage protest against �vandalism�, demand strict action

Jamshedpur, Dec 30: Jamshedpur Mahanagar BJP leaders staged demonstration before Jamshedpur Collectorate on Monday to protest alleged acts of vandalism by �anti-development� elements. They said the supporters of Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy were behind the destruction of inaugural plaques at Burmamine and Telco recently.

Leading the protesters, district BJP president Dinesh Kumar demanded stringent measures against the culprits. He also demanded replacement of the vandalized plaques with new ones carrying names of former CM Raghubar Das and Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato. He said the party would launch a massive protest drive in case the demands were not fulfilled soon.

Kumar informed Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla that certain people expelled from BJP were still using the part�s flags, posters and symbol. He said such incidents were the handiwork of ousted members. He alleged that the supporters of Saryu Roy were doing it all with the intention to provoke BJP members.

The DC assured the BJP leaders of a fair probe into the incidents of vandalism by a committee.

Those present during the demonstration included Devendra Singh, Manoj Kumar Singh, Sanjeev Kumar, Kulwant Singh Bunty, Chandrashekhar Mishra, Pawan Agrawal, Gunjan Yadav, Anil Modi, Ankit Anand, Vimal Jalan, Pappu Mishra and Deepak Parikh.
