Jamshedpur, Aug 2: Jharkhand Youth Congress general secretary Dr Paritosh Singh, district president Sanjiv Ranjan and state secretary Rakesh Sahu, in separate press communiqus have come down heavily on BJP by stating that the saffron partys tenure of 15 years in the state had ensured the deterioration of health services in Jharkhand. The YC leaders were specially caustic in their attack on Former Chief Minister and former Jamshedpur East VS constituency legislator Raghubar Das who they alleged had turned a blind eye to the redemption of medical services that had reached a pathetic low during his five year tenure as the CM.
Can the BJP state how many times in the last five years had Raghubar Das as the Chief Minister cared to visit MGMCH or other government run hospitals and take stock of the situation in these places? It is during his unfortunate tenure that health facilities in the state hit an all time low resulting in health services taking a pounding at the time of the prevailing pandemic, the YC leaders accused.
In comparison, the YC leaders contended that Banna Gupta, in his six months as the Jharkhand Health Minister had already wrung in improvement and that he was maintaining a hawk eye on health facilities in the state, always alert to health problems and introducing better facilities to cope with the medical needs of the people. They said, Before pointing mindless accusations, let the BJP review the five year tenure of Raghubar Das as Chief Minister and apologize to the people. Why did the BJP leadership keep mum when 164 children died in the then Chief Ministers own constituency? If, at that point of time, the BJP had endeavored to improve health services, things would have been much better. They (BJP) have lost their sense of mental equilibrium after being voted out of power and so, they are casting senseless accusations.
They stated, The Hemant Soren government is alert to all health needs and is introducing updated techniques in the state to combat the COVID onslaught.
