BJP activists agitate for power

Noamundi: Bharatiya Janta Party activists led by West Singhbhum MP Laxman Gilua staged a dharna before Noamundi electricity substation office on Saturday against poor supply of electricity.

Addressing party workers, he said as many as 33 villages under Noamundi Block are still deprived of Rajiv Gandhi Rural Electrification Project benefits.

He alleged that the local electricity department officials supplied uninterrupted electricity to mines and crusher plants whereas the supply to villages was interrupted.

A memorandum was handed to the SDO to demand electricity supply to the villages. The SDO SK Singh said, We have already surveyed the 33 villages. Very soon we will provide power to these villages.
