German Shepherd, Golden Retriever emerge Champions at JKC Championship
Jamshedpur: The Jamshedpur Kennel Club’s (JKC) Annual Championship Dog Show 2026 concluded on an exciting note on Sunday, featuring the 80th and 81st All-Breeds Championship events and drawing enthusiastic participation from over 300 dogs and a large, cheering crowd.

The day began with the 80th All-Breeds Championship, where dogs displayed remarkable energy and discipline. The Best Puppy title was won by a Pomeranian, while a Pug secured the second-best puppy position. Among the highlights, Unagin, a German Shepherd, emerged as the winner of the 80th All-Breeds Championship. The Kombai was declared Best Indian Breed, the Beagle won Best Bred in India, and the English Setter was adjudged Second Best in Show. Das was named Best Handler in this segment.

The excitement continued with the 81st All-Breeds Championship. The Caravan Hound won Best Indian Breed, while the Doberman was awarded Best in Breed. Mondol secured the Best Handler title. A Golden Retriever won the 81st All-Breeds Championship, impressing judges and spectators alike.

The grand finale saw the English Setter clinch the prestigious Best in Show (Supreme Winner) trophy, earning loud applause from the audience.

A special attraction was the junior handlers’ segment, where young handlers impressed everyone with their dedication and bond with their dogs. The chief guest for the evening felicitation ceremony was Abhijit Nanoti, Managing Director of JCAPCPL.

With spirited competition, diverse breeds, and strong public participation, the JKC Dog Show 2026 concluded as a memorable and vibrant event for dog lovers in the city.
