Jamshedpur: Basantotsava was organized at Ravindra Bhavan, Sakchi, by Tagore School of Art on Sunday. As many as 250 teachers and students of the institution participated in the gala event.
The programme began with the participants performing Baitalik or revolution of Ravindra Bhavan. During the revolution, the participants sang Kavi Guru Ravindra Nath Tagore�s famous song �O Re Grihvasi Khol Dwar Khol, Laglo Je Dol�. The students also danced on this occasion. Abir Khela was also held during which the participans smeared gulal and abir on each other�s faces.
According to Ashish Chowdhury, general secretary of Tagore Society, the event was held to pay tribute to Kavi Guru Tagore and celebrate his creations on Basant.
