Jamshedpur: Baldwin Farm Area High School Celebrates Grandparents’ Day

Jamshedpur: Baldwin Farm Area High School, Kadma, celebrated Grandparents’ Day titled “Virasat” on Friday with great enthusiasm, cultural fervour and a strong emphasis on values and tradition. The event was organised to honour the love, wisdom and guidance imparted by grandparents in shaping young lives.

The programme began with a warm welcome address by students, followed by a welcome song and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, setting a dignified and joyful tone for the celebration.

The occasion was graced by Dr. Rajiv Ranjan Sinha, President of the Baldwin Academy Society and National Teacher’s Awardee; Dr. Ashok Singh, Director (Academics) and National Teacher’s Awardee Prabhas Kumar, Secretary, Baldwin Academy Society Sunil Paschal and Ajay Kumar, members of the School Governing Body Sachin Kumar, Administrator; and Dr. Subhosree Sarkar, Principal of the school.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Rajiv Ranjan Sinha highlighted the invaluable role played by grandparents in nurturing values, culture and emotional strength among children. He described grandparents as a fountain of unconditional love, a storehouse of life experience and a guiding lighthouse for young minds. On the occasion, he also distributed prizes to students who excelled in various competitions.

Prizes for Best Handwriting in English and Hindi, English Rhymes Recitation, Fastest Reading Challenge and Mathematics Challenge were distributed by Dr. Ashok Singh, Director (Academics), escorted by Ankita Sharma. In his address, Dr. Singh spoke about the initiatives undertaken by the school for the holistic development of students and shared practical tips for grandparents on supporting children’s emotional well-being and academic growth.
