Jamshedpur, June 1: As Bakrid approaches, preparations are gaining momentum across Jamshedpur. On Sunday, a bustling goat market was set up at the Ambagan Ground attracting traders from not just the city but also nearby rural areas and other states.

Goats priced between ₹5,000 and ₹1 lakh were showcased at the market, catering to buyers of all budgets. Locals turned out in large numbers to purchase goats as part of the Bakrid rituals.

A goat trader shared that this year’s market response has been promising, with good prices being fetched and high demand observed.

With Bakrid set to be celebrated on June 7, families across the city are actively preparing to mark the occasion with joy and tradition.
