Jamshedpur: Swarnanjali Delhi, an organization dedicated to Indian classical music, celebrated its 25th anniversary by hosting “Baithki 2026” in Jamshedpur. During the event, the organization formally released “Swarananjali – Legacy of Bandish,” a new book by the noted musician Pandit Bhootnath Dey.
Prominent personalities, including musicians Mihir Banerjee, Amarjeet Singh, Dinanath Upadhyay, and Vibha Mishra, attended the program. Social activist Purbi Ghosh and Amal Sangh Club President Samant Kumar also joined the celebration, which began with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp.
Swarnanjali founder Subroto Dey explained that the organization has worked since 2000 to preserve Indian classical music and dance. He noted that they provide vital platforms for young artists and regularly host festivals across India to promote classical traditions.
Following the book launch, renowned sitarist Subrata Dey captivated the audience with a masterful recital, accompanied by Pandit Amitabh Sen on the tabla. The evening immersed music lovers in the rich traditions of classical ragas and bandishes.
Sujit Rai conducted the program, and Subroto Dey concluded the event with a vote of thanks.
