Jamshedpur, Sept: The Purvi Singhbhum Zila Agrawal Sammelan�s Golmuri unit today organized the birth anniversary celebration of Maharaj Agrasen today at the Golmuri Shiv Mandir premises.

Women (more than 20 years of age) participated in competitions that included decorating Lord Sri Krishna�s� photos with beads and using old bangles to create hangers. They were given a maximum time frame of 45 minutes. Children between the ages of 5 to 12 years participated in a fancy dress competition themed on environment.

They were given a minute�s time to say their dialogues. The winners of various sections were given prizes. The prize winners were Nitu Agrawal, Nilam Debuka and Dipti Agrawal as the first, second and third prizes respectively for bangle wall hangers, for decoration of Sri Krishna�s picture with beads � Aditi Chowdhary (1st), Nilam Agrawal (2nd) and Urmila Dangbajia (3rd) and children�s fancy dress competition � Srishta Sogyani (1st), Aradhya Debuka (2nd) and Yash Agrawal (3rd).

The competitions began at 4 pm with a lamp being lighted in front of Maharaj Agrasen�s picture. Maha Arti was performed at 7:30 pm in which a large number of devotees from the community presided. Consecrated offerings were then distributed among the devotees.

The organizers included Purvi Singhbhum Zila Agrawal Sammelan chairman Dipak Bhalotia, district president Santosh Agrawal, general secretary Rajesh Ringasia, program convener Prabha Padiya, Golmuri branch patron Kedarmal Palsania, president Shankar Lal Agrawal, Dipak Agrawal, Kamal Kant Agrawal, Kailash Agrawal, Nari Jagran Samiti members Nisha Agrawal, Sushila Agrawal, Manju Agrawal, Nanda Sharma, Sunita Sharma and Rekha Agrawal.
