Jamshedpur: A case of ATM fraud came to light in the city on Tuesday following the lodging of a police complaint by a Birsanagar resident, Ramshankar Prasad Sharma. The victim said he had lost Rs 1 lakh to unidentified callers who sought his ATM number, Aadhar Number and OTP (one time password) in the name of linking his ATM to Aadhar. Sharma said he had received a call from the mobile number 7280915245 belonging to the accused on 16th October last. When the victim received multiple messages showing withdrawal of Rs 1 lakh from his bank account, he was shocked. He soon lodged an FIR with the Birsanagar police station and got his ATM card blocked. Police said they had started an investigation to track down the culprits.
