Armoury ground to remain open for general public

Jamshedpur : Adhering to the demands of sports enthusiasts, Tata Steel�s sports department today assured Jamshedpur West Congress MLA Banna Gupta that general public can use Armoury ground at Bistupur for a limited time on daily basis.

Sports department�s senior manager Charles Borommeo visited the site and assured the people. The gates of the Armoury grounds in Bistupur will remain open for the general public, for a limited time daily.

�We are there to support the local people. We do not have any issue if the ground is used by the general public,� Borromeo said.

The MLA said to the sports department�s functionary that he don�t want allow any further problem if people visit the ground. Gupta had thrown open the gates of Armoury grounds to general public on Wednesday.

For some time, Tata Steel-owned ground was used being used to conduct the training programme of Tata Football Academy and entry of outsiders was prohibited.
