Ranchi, Feb 12: In a significant administrative overhaul, the Jharkhand government has implemented a series of transfers for IAS officers. The notable change includes the transfer of Manjunath Bhajantri, the former Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Jamshedpur, who will now serve as the administrator of the Subarnarekha project.
Taking charge as the new DC of Jamshedpur is Ananya Mittal, who previously held the position of DC in West Singhbhum. The reshuffle further involves the appointment of Vijaya Jadhav, the former DC of Jamshedpur, as the new DC of West Singhbhum district.
Ajay Kumar Singh assumes additional responsibilities as the Secretary of the Health Department, alongside his current role in the Rural Affairs Department. He has been appointed as the Principal Secretary of the Cabinet Secretariat. Vandana Dadel transitions to the Principal Secretary of the Forest Department, retaining additional responsibilities for Women and Child Development.
In other changes, Manish Ranjan, previously serving as Revenue Secretary, has been appointed as the Secretary of the Building Construction Department and the Managing Director of the Building Construction Corporation Limited. Arava Rajkamal has been relieved from the post of Principal Secretary, Scheduled Tribes, and is now entrusted with the additional charge of the Greater Ranchi Development Agency, Urban Development Department, and Prohibition Department.
The reshuffle also involves Umashankar Singh, who will take on the responsibilities of Secretary in charge.
