Jamshedpur, Feb 24: Uday Movies will shortly release a short film, ‘Adhikaar,’ to raise voter awareness among the masses especially in view of the ensuing Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. The shooting of the film was concluded recently in Sonari. The film has been produced and directed by popular city filmmaker Uday Sahu. ‘Adhikaar’ stars prominent singers Ajit Aman, Manoj Pandey, Pyare Lal Sahu, Haridarshan Singh, Chetan Sahu, and Surya Kumar in lead roles.
Filmmaker Uday Sahu, speaking about the film said, “The film focuses on people using their rights to exercise franchise. It has been observed that the ratio of rural voters far outweighs their urban counterparts. This situation is confounding especially in view of the fact that the urban population is better educated and more informed. The film includes scenes designed to raise awareness among viewers about the importance of voting, particularly targeting urban audiences.”
Uday further averred that ‘Adhikaar’ aimed to serve as a tool for educating and inspiring citizens to actively participate in the electoral process, ensuring their voices were heard in shaping the future of governance.
