ABVP activists indulge in vandalism at Jamshedpur Co-operative College

Jamshedpur : Peeved over the suspension of R.K. Das as the principal of Jamshedpur Co-opperative College student activists of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) created ruckus and� indulged in vandalism at the �Jamshedpur Co-operative College today.

Around�100 ABVP activists reached the Jamshedpur Co-operative College campus at�around and opposed the appointment of S.S. Razi as the new professor-in-charge of the college.�

Students opposed the decision of Kolhan University vice-chancellor, RPP Singh for suspending Das and Sumita Mukherjee, professor-in-charge of Jamshedpur Women’s College and appointing Razi and Sujata Sinha without informing the members of the syndicate. The new appointments were made on February 20.

The group of ABVP students supported by a couple of other students union like NSUI (National Students Union of India) and JVCM (Jharkhand Vikas Chhatra Morcha) had yesterday locked the principal’s chamber and requested Razi to not take charge as a professor-in-charge till the time.

The students representatives have also met chief minister Ragubar Das day before yesterday and the governor Syed Ahmed.
