Abhay writes to Rajnath, to meet Modi on horse-trading issue

Jamshedpur: Jharkhand Vikas Morcha leader Abhay Singh today took a digging at district Bharatiya Janata Party leaders on the issue of giving ticket to Vidyut Varan Mahato, former Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leader, despite his being an accused in the Rajya Sabha horsetrading case.

The JVM leader said he had written to the BJP national president Rajnath Singh to complaint against the party’s decision to give ticket to Vidyut Varan Mahato. He said he was also going to meet BJP’s Primeministerial candidate Narendra Modi and hand over a memorandum to him demanding that the BJP should not give ticket to someone accused horsetrading in the Rajya Sabha election.

“We will meet Modi if he arrives in the city. If we are not allowed to meet him, we will take to the streets and register our protest. We will continue to register our protest against the decision taken by the BJP as it is against ethics and morals,” said Abhay Singh.

Party leaders said the JVM president and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi will be visiting the city on 10th April to participate in election campaign till 14th April. He will mostly visit rural areas. A party conference will be held at Agrico ground on 14th April. The party president will attend the programme.

JVM leaders said Ramashish Raut, retired DSP of vigilance department, joined the party on Tuesay. Many party leaders were there during the induction of Raut in the party.
