Ranchi: The Jharkhand government has issued an important notice for beneficiaries of the Maiya Samman Yojna, making it mandatory to link their bank accounts with Aadhaar.
According to information released by the Social Security Cell, beneficiaries whose bank accounts are not yet linked to Aadhaar must complete the linking process within a week. Failure to do so would result in the suspension of payments under the scheme starting from April 2025.
In Ranchi, efforts were underway to facilitate Aadhaar seeding. Beneficiaries can visit their nearest Aadhaar seeding camp on April 29 from 10 AM onwards to link their bank accounts.
Ranchi Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri has directed officials to organize panchayat-wise Aadhaar seeding camps to assist the beneficiaries. The camps will especially benefit those who received a lump sum amount for three months under the scheme on or after April 3. Authorities have emphasized that without an Aadhaar-linked bank account, beneficiaries may face delays in receiving future payments under the Maiya Samman Yojna. (w/gsd)
