Jamshedpur, May 3: After the return of migrant workers, about 146 students returned to the steel city from Kota first by a special train upto Ranchi and subsequently in 10 buses from Ranchi late on Saturday night. Before entering into the steel city, the students, including girl students were subjected to the medical check up at Pardih along the NH-33 near Mango.

The health department officials conducted the medical check-up beside taking swab samples of all the students continued the checking at a community centre in Pardih from 10 pm on Saturday till 7 am on Sunday.
Apart from the district health officials, those present at Pardih throughout the night include East Singhbhum deputy commissioner, Ravi Shankar Shukla and Dhalbhum SDO, Chandan Kumar.

Revealing about the process of medical check-up, district civil surgeon, Maheswar Prasad said that the 146 students who were a part of 1,000 students that came in a special train to Ranchi railway station on Saturday evening were supposed to reach Pardih by bus by 8 pm.

Meanwhile, DC Ravi Shanker Shukla along SSP M Tamil Vanan inspected preparation for screening at Tatanagar railway station.

�We have put up several banners and posters at the railway station to educate passengers. Moreover, suspected passengers are being screened at the station after they arrive at the station,� said an official.

Officials of Tatanagar railway station informed that the situation is being constantly monitored and coordinated at all levels.
