11th ‘SHORTS’ concludes on a high note

Jamshedpur, Nov. 25: The final day of 11th SHORTS � the annual short film festival of Jamshedpur ended on a high note at Centre for Excellence on Sunday.
The concluding day witnessed 19 short film screenings by the professional and budding film makers from Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Dhanbad and Jamshedpur.

A variety of shorts films were shown throughout the day, including on subjects like women empowerment, water conservation, road safety, noise pollution, old age crisis, menstrual health, cleanliness, humanity to name a few, in Hindi, English, Bengali, Santali and Nepali languages. Many of these films have travelled to National and Intentional Film Festivals.

The two-day festival screened 29 films ranging from 4 minutes to 30 minutes, which were short-listed from around 100 entries received from all over the country.
This blend of new and experienced film makers has been the USP of the festival which has attracted the film buffs of Jamshedpur year after year towards this festival, said Tathagata Bhattacherjee the COO of Take5 Communications.

The annual fest is jointly organised by Jamshedpur based Society for Promotion of Professional Excellence (SPPE) and Kolkata based Take5 Communications.
It is worth mentioning that Shorts -the annual short film festival of Jamshedpur gloriously completed 10 years in November 2017.
