100 BPL families leave for Santhal pilgrimage

Jamshedpur: The deputy collector of treasury, East Singhbhum, David Balihar, flagged off the bus carrying members of 100 BPL families to Lugu Buru Lalpania, Bokaro, on a pilgrimage. The Santhals consider Lugu Buru in Lalpania as a sacred place. The families were sent under Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatri Yojana. As per the scheme, 100 people belonging to BPL category from every district would be sent on pilgrimage. Around 600 people from Seraikela, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Jamtara and East Singhbhum are to be sent to Lalpania. During the flagging off of the pilgrims� bus, district BJP president Dinesh Kumar was also present along with Chandrashekhar Mishra, Rakesh Singh, Bari Murmu and Ramesh Hansda.
