XLRI-ALAP Jharkhand Startup Summit: Experts brainstorm on new trends at Startup Summit

Jamshedpur, Jan 17: City-based organisation, Alap along with B-school XLRI organised Jharkhand Startup Summit 2023. The objective of the programme was to create a national level start-up ecosystem in Jharkhand by setting up an incubation centre, mentors, experts, funding, market linkage etc.

In this program, key speakers of the country and the world connected directly and virtually to share their experiences and knowledge. The programme began with an address by Manpreet S. Manna, former director, AICTE. He said that there is no shortcut to start up. After that, Ajay Singh Rajawat, who is promoting the start-up ecosystem in India, explained the do’s and don’ts of a start-up. This was followed by a panel discussion featuring Ravish Ranjan, owner of India’s first Pod Hotel, Dr. Kishor Ojha, Graphopsycho Analyst, Amit Gamge, Co-Founder Quantum Leap, Nethila Nimsath, Founder of Marspreneurs Business Academy, and XLRI Professor, Sunil Sarangi .

Jatin Kataria, Founder & CEO Inmesta spoke about the start-up ecosystem in India. After this, Dr. Mohit Gambhir, Director, Innovation Cell, Ministry of Education, shared the purpose of celebrating National Start-up Day. Start-ups, school and college students, principals and teachers from the city and nearby districts participated in the program as spectators. A total of 9 start-ups in the event launched their start-ups in the launch pad event which includes Perkosi, Vibhav Crafts & Creations, Mute Break.com, Dot Agency, Park Own, Herbino, My Dhola, My Urban Life, Edu Vigo and 2 Start-ups showcased start-ups which included Gurvani Apparel and Shilpkam.

A networking session was held at the end of the program where all the start-ups, audience and speakers interacted, asked questions and got to know each other. A website was also launched by Alap in the program, in which registration for all start-ups of Jharkhand will start from tomorrow, so that the data of all start-ups will be available, which is not yet available anywhere. Incubation program is being started by Alap from 1st April, for which registration has been started. To promote Digital India, the work of connecting local street vendors with digital platforms is also being started.
