Jamshedpur : Former Union minister Subodh Kant Sahay has challenged BJP national president Amit Shah to prove his involvement in the coalgate scam.

He said: It is ridiculous. I will bid good-bye to politics if allegations were proved and if not he will go to jail, Sahay said without naming the BJP chief. He, along with actor-turned-politician Raj Babbar and Congress national spokesperson Ajoy Kumar, was addressing media persons at Sonari aerodrome this afternoon.

Without naming Sahay, the BJP chief had said during an election rally at Adityapur yesterday that the BJP would not allot coal blocks to relatives of politicians, connecting to the controversy over the former Ranchi MP allegedly lobbying for a firm which had his brother as a director.

He claimed that BJP has done nothing for Jharkhand despite ruling the state for maximum time. The BJP in Jharkhand has missed used the resources. It won 28 seats in 2000 and followed it with 23 in 2005 assembly elections.

But the figure reduced to 18 in 2009, he said, claiming that Congress would form the next government in Jharkhand.

He termed Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a madari,. Sahay also criticized Modi for deciding to auction coal blocks.

Babbar said a tea vendor is now making East India Company, he said without naming the prime minister.
