Jamshedpur, September 19: Burning of the motor of the filter plant of Bagbera Housing Colony Water Supply Scheme has resulted to disruption in water supply to 1140 houses of the colony for 72 hours.
For the third time in a span of 20 days, the motor of the filter plant has burnt out. In this regard, Bagbera Colony head Rajkumar says that the department has been requested to arrange for a new motor.
The department has prepared an estimate for the new motor and given it to the deputy commissioner.
Due to lack of arrangement, knowing that the motor is not in running condition, yet that motor is being repaired and run so that residents of the colony continue to face problem.
Incidentally, on September 16, the foundation stone of the new filter plant to be built at a cost of Rs 1.88 crore for the Bagbera Housing Colony Water Supply Scheme was laid by Health Minister Banna Gupta, MP Vidyut Varan Mahato and local MLA.
Due to the burning of the motor of the old filter plant on the night of 16th September, water supply in the colony has been stopped for the last three days.
