Saraikela, Dec 26: Social organization, Kaluram Seva Trust has been playing a vital role in reaching out to people and places in and around Saraikela and providing them necessary help especially through the COVID-19 pandemic times.
Kaluram Seva Trust chairman Manoj Kumar Chowdhary informed that the Trust had catered to the needs of 10 thousand needy, helpless, migrant and stranded workers with dry rations, sanitizer, hand washing soap, biscuits, masks and other essential in the township and nearby areas of the district. The Trust had provided 20 thousand affected people meals at one time of the day besides reaching ourt medical help to the sick and infirm.
Kaluram Seva Trust continues to provide assistance to the community by conducting free health and eye check camps, organizes free cataract surgery for the poor and arranges for free delivery of oxygen for those in need. Manoj Kumar Chowdhary stated that during the lockdown phases, the Trust had honoured several corona warriors including jawans of CRPF 196 Battalion, police personnel, health workers, social activists, sanitary department staff members for providing selfless service at the risk of their own health. He said that members of social organization Shyam Mitra Mandal, Childline Saraikela-Kharsawan, social activists Rajesh Sahu, Amitabh Mukherjee, Kalu Pattanaik, Gupteshwar Pattanaik, Tukun Bhanja, Ranjit Raut, Birsa Oraon, Amit Kumar Jha, Sashi, Lalit Chowdhary, Dinesh Chowdhary, Akash Agrawal, Sunny Chowdhary, Gaurav Chowdhary, Anmol Chowdhary, Asutosh Chowdhary, Kumar Abhishek and others had provided their unstinted support through the pandemic period in reaching out help to the needy people.
