Chaibasa, May 29: Uraon Samaj, Chaibasa, organized a two-day cricket tournament on the auspicious occasion of 17th Uraon Samaj Jatra festival at Associate Ground here. The prize final match and distribution was held on Sunday.

The Chaibasa Chamber of Commerce and Industries chairman Lalit Shrarma was a chief guest on the occasion. The final match was played between Uluhatu vs. Vaan Tola. Uluhatu defeated Vaan Tola by 7 runs. The winning team was awarded a trophy, while and runner-up was given a cup.

As many as 24 Uraon cricket teams took part from various part of West Singhbhum, East Singhbhum and Saraikela- Kahrswan districts. Addressing the players, Sharma said that Uraon Samaj youth are extremely talented and they can bring glory to their community in the field of game and sports provided that they are well trained by expert coaches.

Uraon Samaj West Singhbhum district president Sahdev Kespotta, Anil, Babulal and a large number of players and members from the Uroan Samaj were present on the occasion.
