Two-hour meeting of CRPF and police officials on Naxal activities

Kiriburu: In response to the recent surge in Naxal activities in Saranda, a two-hour meeting was held at the CRPF-26 battalion camp in Kiriburu. Senior officials at the IG and DIG levels from CRPF and Jharkhand Police participated in the meeting. Following the discussions, DIG Inderjit Mahatha and other officials, including Kolhan DIG Ajay Linda, left for Ranchi by a Jharkhand Police helicopter.

The meeting, held in response to the escalating Naxal situation and focusing on their elimination, took place from around 2:15 pm to 4:30 pm. After the meeting, officials boarded a Jharkhand Police helicopter to return to Ranchi from Meghahatuburu helipad.

While the details of the meeting remain undisclosed, it is anticipated that a significant operation against Naxalites will be launched across Saranda. The operation is expected to leverage the existing CRPF and other force camps in locations like Tholkobad, Jumbaiburu, Karampada, Kiriburu, Saddle, Chhotanagara, Rowam, Ankua, and Digha. The close relations between security forces and villagers, except for some Naxalite supporters, are likely to aid in the operation. The police are closely monitoring Naxalite activities and their connections in the region.
