Three arrested with stolen car and valuables in Sundernagar


    Jamshedpur: Sundernagar police here on Saturday arrested three thieves with a stolen car, two mobile phones and other valuables including an LED TV. Those arrested were identified as Sunny alias Hikim Hansda, Tuniya Majhi and Anand Singh. One more accused, identified as Kedar alias Tiger Chakiya, is yet to be arrested, police said.

    According to SP Rural Prabhat Kumar, the thieves had stolen the Renault car and other belongings belonging to Jiten Hembram of Turamdih on 1st November last. Hembram had gone to his in-laws place in Balijuri when the incident took place. The thieves entered Hembram’s house situated in UCIL Colony and took away the car parked outside the house along with the mobile phone and other valuables kept inside.

    The thieves were caught by the officer in-charge of Sundernagar police station area Dilip Yadav on the Potka-Kudada road. The thieves had parked the car in a field away close to the main road. On seeing the OC, the thieves started running away. Three of the accused were caught while the fourth ran away.
    Police recovered the stolen goods after interrogating the accused persons. The accused persons spilled the beans and told police their modus operandi, said the SP.
