There is continuous improvement in the field of medicine in Jharkhand: Banna Gupta


MYM blood camp collects132 units, 284 get health checkup

Jamshedpur, Jan 28:  Marwari Yuva Manch (MYM) steel city branch organized a blood donation and health checkup camp on the occasion of Republic Day and the organization’s foundation day on January 26 at Mahalakshmi Dadi Mandir on Sakchi Thakurbari Road on Wednesday. While 284 persons underwent free health checkup, 132 units of blood were collected during the donation camp.

The chief guest on the occasion was Jharkhand Health Minister Banna Gupta, special guest, Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) President Vijay Anand Moonka, coordinator of the program, Kamal Singhania and MYM president and secretary jointly inaugurated the camps.

 Chief guest Banna Gupta praised the contribution of Marwari Samaj and Marwari Yuva Manch towards the development of society and country and congratulated all on the occasion of Republic Day celebrations. During his address, Banna Gupta observed, “I feel privileged to inform that there is continuous development and improvement in the field of medicine in entire Jharkhand and that includes Jamshedpur. It is my humble suggestion that everyone should get their health checkup at regular intervals. I also urge eligible persons to donate blood.”

Special guests Vijay Anand Moonka and Kamal Singhania praised the work being done by MYM Steel City branch and assured of all possible cooperation in the domains of social work. MYM steel city branch president, Sumit Debuka in his welcome address, gave a brief account of the programmes being undertaken regularly by the organization. Branch secretary Vishal Agarwal conducted the inaugural session and the vote of thanks was offered by Nilay Agarwal. MYM steel city branch donated 40 garbage collection vats as contribution towards the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

The blood donation and free health checkup camps were successfully organized with the support of the elite of Marwari community along with Voluntary Blood Donors’ Association and members of Health Checkup Camp Fortis Hospital, Renault Plus, Kasera Diagnostic, City Diabetes, ASG Eye Hospital and Ujjwal Dental Care. Dr Abta Bachchan, Dr Sandeep Prasad, Dr Ram Kumar, Dr Vishal Lodha and Dr Suman Lodha provided their cooperation free of cost. The Fortis Medical team conducted medical services that included specialists for neuro-spine, urology, diabetes, dietician, general health, eye and dentistry. The experts examined patients and provided tips on staying healthy. The services provided at the free health checkup camp included TSH/Urea/Serum, Creatinine, blood pressure, blood sugar and weight related tests.
