Theft at AJSU Party Block President’s residence in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Jan 15: Unidentified burglars decamped with cash and other valuables worth Rs 2.35 lakh from the residence of AJSU Party Block President, Manik Chandra Mahto. The burglars also took away his wife’s Mangal Sutra. Manik Chandra Mahto is a resident of Bada Chidka village under Bodam police station area of ​​East Singhbhum district. Villagers informed about the incident to Manik Chandra Mahato. The AJSU Party Block President immediately informed the Bodam police station in-charge Shankar Lakra about the incident.

Patamda DSP Sumit Kumar, Police Station in-charge Shankar Lakra along with the police force reached Manik Chandra Mahto’s house in Bada Chidka. AJSU Block President Manik Chandra Mahato stated that at around 10 pm on Thursday, he had left his residence in Bada Chidka, Bodam and had gone to his Dobo residence and added that he had given the responsibility of looking after his Bada Chidka residence to his cousin, Padmalochan Mahto.

Manik informed, “Last night, villagers informed me about the theft. I rushed back to my Bada Chidka home and found that things were scattered everywhere. I discovered that the Rs 2.35 lakh that I had kept at home and my wife’s Mangal Sutra had been taken away by the burglars. I have lodged an FIR  against unknown persons in the Bodam police station.”
