Jamshedpur, Dec 1: A team of Railway Protection Force (RPF) on Thursday arrested a youth with a consignment of 18 kg cannabis. According to RPF personnel, they had got a tip-off about this attempt to smuggle ganja through the Rajgangpur railway station.
Acting on the tip-off received by sub-inspector S Yadav, the RPF had raided a platform at the railway station. The youth who has been identified as Kundan Kumar, a resident of Patna, Bihar, was nabbed with his consignment of contraband hidden in a bag. RPF officials said that the contraband is worth Rs 1.8 lakh. Kumar was booked under the NDPS Act and sent to judicial custody on Thursday.
