Tata Archery Academy triumphs at District level competition


    Jamshedpur: Tata Archery Academy was crowned the champion of the 1st district & school archery championship organized by East Singhbhum Archery Association at JRD Tata Sports Complex.

    In the open category Tata Archery Academy won 9 gold, 6 silver and 6 bronze making it 21 medals and taking the top spot.

    ISWP Club (Taar Company) won 6 medals including 2 each gold, silver and bronze and grabbed the second spot while Eklavya Archery Club with 5 medals including 2 each gold and bronze and 1 silver got the third place.

    The winners were awarded by Lafarge India VP Rakesh Varke, Adhunik Steel DGM Anand Kumar and President of East Singhbhum Archery Academy cum BJP leader Rajkumar Singh.

    On the occasion Senior VP of district Archery Association L Murty, VP Harendra Singh and S Manna, General Secretary Dhronacharya Awardee Purnima Mahato, Joint Secretary BS Rao, Treasurer Arjun Rao, member Sato Sarkar, NIS Coach Rupesh Kumar, Coach D Saishwari, Poonam Soni, Vijay, Gopal, Sushant, Manish and others were present.

    Earlier in the day Jamshedpur MP Vidhyut Varan Mahato opened the tournament by hitting the target including Parshad Sapan Majumdar and Tata Steel Sports Department Handball Coach Hassan Imam Mallick and others were present. At the event 310 participants from various schools and clubs of the district participated.
