Sumit Kumar of Kerala Public School wins slogan contest

Jamshedpur : The fourth day of the Wildlife Week Celebration 2014 at the Tata Steel Zoological Park, involved Prabhat Pheri and the Slogan Writing Competition.

The day started with the flagging off of the Prabhat Pheri at 7:30 AM by Bipul Chakrabarty, Director, Tata Steel Zoological Park.

Around 80 students from N.T.T.F., T. K. Academy and Madrassas along with the staff of Tata Zoo marched around Jayanti Sarovar and inside Jubilee Park raising slogans and displaying banners in order to raise awareness on the need to protect our biodiversity and wildlife.

This was followed by the Slogan Writing Competition in Hindi and English. The topic of the slogan writing competition was “Role of plants in water conservation”/ 81 students from 10 schools participated in the competition.

Sumit Kumar was declared the winner whose winning slogan was The event was sponsored by Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur ZEST and the prizes were presented by Chief Guest Nalini Ramamurthi.

The judges for the competition were Dr. Srikant Nair and Basuki Nath. Present during the Slogan Writing Competition from Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur ZEST were Amrita Vakharia, President, Sweta Debuka, Secretary and Neeta Agarwal from Tata Steel Zoological Park were Bipul Chakrabarty, Director.
