Jamshedpur, Jan. 27: Govind Vidyalaya, Tamulia celebrated the 68th Republic Day with great pomp and show at the school premises on Thursday.
The day began with the hoisting of the national flag by Chief Guest the managing director of the school Dr. B.D. Sharma in presence of Principal Dr. Sunita Sinha, Administrator Krishna Modak, Vice Principal Mrs. Molly Majumdar, Primary wing Coordinator Mrs. Swapna Shome, P.R.O. Rajesh Sharma, teachers, students, guardians & invited guests.
Managing Director in his speech encouraged the students to be a perfect citizen of this country by their all round contribution in every field to the nation on the footsteps of the martyrs.
On this occasion Hindi speech was delivered by Sana Perween of Std. VI & English Patriotic speech by Saif Ali Ahmad of Std. X. Prizes were given to the students by their teachers for their outstanding performance in the field of academics, co-curricular activities & sports.
Vote of thanks was delivered by Mrs. Neha Yadav. The programme was anchored by Mrs. Naushad Razia, Mrs. Debjani Banerjee with Muskan Singh & Mansi Kumari of Std. X.
