Statehood day programmes planned

Ranchi: The state government has planned a slew of programmes on the occasion of the foundation day celebrations of Jharkhand on 15th November.

It has decided to celebrate the statehood anniversary over a period of a fortnight. As per plans, the official programme will be held in the state Capital while the concluding day ceremony will be held at Bhognadih, the birthplace of martyrs Sidhu and Kanhu. This was informed by Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Sunday.

He said the programme will start with the garlanding of the bust of Bhagwan Birsa Munda at Ranchi. He said he will be going to Ulihatu, the native place of Birsa Munda. The official programme will be held at the football stadium. A number of programmes will be organized on the occasion.
