Central police canteen inaugurated
Jamshedpur : Director General of Police, Rajiv Kumar has said that the Jharkhand police are looking forward to co-operate with National Investigation Agency (NIA) for Patna blasts investigation. If required the administration will also extend help for setting up an office of the agency in the State.
Kumar was interacting with the media here today. He also inaugurated a Central Police Subsidiary Canteen at the ground of Jharkhand Armed Police – VI ground in Sidhgora .
Talking to the newsmen, the DGP said that the state police was extending all help to the Bihar police and also the NIA in investigation of the serial blast at Patna Gandhi Maidan on October 27.
�We are ready to extend all help if the NIA is interested to set up an office at Ranchi or anywhere in the state. We will help them in every way possible,� he noted.
The DGP stated to have put all the superintendents of police across the state on high alert in the wake of the Diwali. He said that all the sensitive areas and also areas where any communal disturbance has taken place in the past will be provided with adequate police force.
“We have identified the sensitive areas where the special focus would be laid. In all police personnel will be engaged in such areas. A section of the team will remain static at strategic points in a market, another section will keep moving inside the marketplace during festive days,” said the senior police official.
Sharing the plans of the department the DGP informed that a proposed constable training school is on the cards at Mosabani.
” It our ambitious project and we are looking forward. We have already selected a plot at Mosabani for setting up a constable training school at Mosabani,” said the state police chief.
After returning from the Mosabani, the DGP had inaugurated the central police canteen. While inaugurating the canteen, Kumar said that after this facility the policemen will be able to buy house-hold goods at a subsidiary rate.
He also ruled out any possibility of terror attack in the State. “The security personnel deployed in the border areas have been asked to follow the established security norms strictly while on patrolling. Besides, they have been asked to ensure smooth coordination on every front,” said, the DGP.
