State MPs, MLAs invited for Virasat-e-Khalsa Kaum Programme


    Jamshedpur, Jan 1: All the 82 MLAs, 14 MPs and six Rajya Sabha MPs of the state have been invited for the three-day Virasat-e-Khalsa Kaum Programme scheduled at Gopal Maidan from 9 to 11 January, 2017.

    Along with this former chief minister of Jharkhand Arjun Munda, former Jharkhand Assembly speaker Inder Singh Namdhari, Tata Steel MD TV Narendran, Chairman of Mongia Steel Gunwant Singh and several corporate and labour union leaders have been invited at the religious programme to be organised to mark the 350th birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru.

    The whole Gopal Maidan in Bistupur will under CCTV surveillance while special arrangements will be available for parking of the vehicles. The organisers have also made hotel rooms available at concessional rates for the Sikhs from Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal and Orissa. Accommodation is also available at Ramgharia Club, Khalsa Clun, Tulsi Bhawan, Dharmshala and other places.

    Jharkhand tourism department is leaving no stone unturned to make Virasat-e-Khalsa Kaum’ a historic event. With just a week left for the religious programme, chief minister Raghubar Das was informed about the preparations to Inderjeet Singh, President of the organizing committee. During the meeting at Surya Mandir premises, CM asked the members of the organizing committee to visit Ranchi on January 4 where the preparations will be finalized.

    Secretary of the tourism department Rahul Sharma has asked the Inderjeet Singh, President of the organizing committee and Jagjeet Singh, Nodal Officer cum special secretary of the Education department to Ranchi on January 2 to finalize the events. Ahead of finalizing the programme, organising committee members held a meeting at DC Amit Kumar’s residential office.

    At the event Gurdev Singh Raja, Hardayal Singh, Kulwinder Singh, Ajit Singh Gambhir, Dalbir Singh, Satbir Singh Somu, Kulwant Singh Bunty, Parvinder Singh, Sukhwinder Singh Raju, Mohinder Singh, Deepak Gill, Ravinder Singh Bhatia, Harvinder Singh Mintu and others were present. Earlier Nodal officer also visited the Sakchi Gurudwara premises.
