Society must step in political arena – JP Verma

Gamharia : Despite having a population of 12 percent in Jharkhand there has been a scanty presence of Kushwaha Samaj in State’s political arena.

There is a need of strengthening the political base of the Kushwaha community in the State. There is a growing feeling within the community that it must chalk out plans for the development of the Kushwaha community in Jharkhand.

Newly elected BJP MLA from Gandeya constituency Jay Prakash Verma stated this at the picnic and annual social gathering held at forest guest house, Kandra. It was held under the auspices of Seraila-Kharsawan unit of the Kushwaha Sangh. Verma was the chief guest on the occasion.

In his chief guest’s address Jay Prakash Verma said that after 20 years of struggle the electorates of Gandeya have elected him their political representative. “I will strive my best to come up to their expectations,” Verma said.

The guest of honor on the occasion political activist, former vice chairman, Adityapur Municipal Council, Purendra Narayan Singh said that election of two legislators belonging to the community has made the Kushwaha Samaj proud.

He said that it was the responsibility of the newly elected MLAs to do their best for social uplift of the Samaj.

On the occasion the State patron of Rashtriya Lok Samta Party Dr Dipak Kushwaha said that steps would be taken in the next five years to increase political representations of the Kushwaha Samaj in the State.

The speakers who address the gathering included ADM, Seraikela, Vishma Kumar, in-charge Gandeya constituency, Bablu Tiwari, Dr BN Prasad, Principal of Women’s Polytechnic, Ayodhya Kumar and others.
