Silk India exhibits Rs 1.5 lakh crepe saree

Ranchi, Dec. 4: A variety of designs and silk products have been put up by the weavers at Silk India Exhibition at Taramandal in Ranchi which is attracting a large number of denizens.

The weavers have also exhibited luxury and glory of the Rajasthan King along with sarees of Kashmiri Chinan.

Crepe sarees are also on display. The sarees which take around 18 months to get prepared cost around 1.5 lakh rupees.

This was informed by T Abhinandan of Hasth Shilpi, He said, we are providing platform to the weavers from India to showcase their art and talent who have kept the silk art alive for decades.

The exhibition will continue till December 11.

The exhibition aims to keep the weaving art of India alive where artists from all over the country including Kolkata, Assam, Bihar, Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Kashmir etc are displaying varieties of silk at the exhibition.
