Federation condemns the incident, urges SCPC to set up helpline

Jamshedpur, Sept. 21 : Time and again we have been told not to brought up matters which are thing of past, the shadows , the chapters which should not be mentioned for the sake of peace, but what about the irrelevant killing of Gurpreet Singh in the national capital New Delhi for protesting to a smoker not to do so. All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) East India president Satnam Singh Gambhir expressed sorrow and disappointment at the ruthless killing of Gurpreet Singh in Delhi which is termed as an incident of road rage which is utter nonsense when it is clear from the statement of Gurpreet Singhs friend and other victim that it was a crime committed out of hatred.
The question rises why it took 3 days and Sikh Organisations pressure for the police to register FIR against the shameless being who calls himself Rohit Krishna Mahanta.

He further said that very often we hear that smoking kills but now its smoker kills, it’s a sad day for India a shame for the country that a young person is killed because he protested against a smoker not to smoke on his face.
AISSF president said that it’s disheartening to see the accused released on bail instead of police registering an FIR against the culprit who has killed one person injured another and also hit an auto and uber car. He further said that we will meet Delhi Chief Minister for prompt action in this matter. In this moment of grief we are with the family of Gurpreet Singh and will do everything in our power to get justice for him.

AISSF president also said that they appreciate the action taken by DSGMC in this matter which led to the registration of FIR against the accused. He further said that Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhadak Committee and Delhi committee should establish their helpline and take the first step for any future contingency where any Sikh or Punjabi who is in a problem can approach them. So that the kind of difficulty Gurpreets family had to face no one should face.
